Default Re: California prop 8

If somehow P8 is thrown out and that decision is upheld by the US Supreme Court either by non involvement or by ruling, there will be so many weird things hitting the fan around here.

One will be Polygamy. If "Between One Man and One Woman"is not allowed to be the definition of Marriage then Polyg groups will move here and fight for their right to marry just as everyone else has the right to marry.

What will be the age of consent? There is no set age for the U.S. so what's to stop 2 16year olds from fighting for their rights?2 15 year olds?Or a 52 yr old man marrying his sixth wife who is 16,provided her parents consent?

What about a full blooded brother marrying a full blooded sister? They are both consenting adults. What right does the Govt. or society have to keep these individuals from having what everyone else has?

What about brother and brother?Sister and Sister?

What about Mother and son?Father and daughter?

We as christians/believers find these scenarios objectionable becuase we believe that God has sanctioned Marriage between a man and a woman.

The gay rights activist's also will probably find these scenarios objectionable. So it's not a question of whether or not drawing a line in the sand is right or wrong,it's a question of where to draw the line.

We as christians/believers draw a line at "one man one woman that are not closely related".

Where the gay rights people want to draw the line seems to be open to debate.
