Welcome, Kiwimac!
Maybe you could post in the "My Denomination" part of this Forum, and let us know what your particular denomination believes. I have learned sooooo much on this Forum about other faiths. Blessings! Jane |

Yes, welcome Kiwimac-
I wish we had a bell to ring when a new church becomes represented here. In lieu of that, I guess were stuck with happy faces... Glad you've joined us, and hope you find this to be a mutually beneficial experience. FA |

www.restoration.org is a good place to find churches that claim Joseph Smith as their founder. I have another list of them someplace too.
FYI, a member of the CoC, i believe, has an 1830 first edition of the BoM posted at www.inephi.com. I held one of the 5000 printed in my hands while on my mission. It was at the Yale Rare Book collection. They had a Guttenburg Bible there too. Man, that was a good day.

Darth, the "I Nephi" site is owned by a member of the "Strangites".They're not connected with CoC.
Replicas of the "1830 Edition" are available from "Herald House" which is a "RLDS" "CoC" company. Also through links with the "I Nephi" site John does offer replicas of the "Nauvoo Edition" of the BOM and D and C. CTR

I know John has association and historical interest with the strangites and other JS restorationist groups. I always thought he really wasn't a believer in any regard but some of his other comments told me that he was CoC. I could be wrong. Been many times before. He really didn't like the church rebuilding the Nauvoo temple.
inephi.com contains the 1830 edition. mormonchristmas.com contains the Nauvoo edition. The current LDS version follows the 1841 edition in many regards, which I think was Independence. I keep wanting to get the 1830 replicas but just cant bring myself to do it. It's all available on the web.
